Battelle’s Chlorinated Conference: Presenting on environmental remediation, assessment, and management
Many of OBG’s environmental experts will be presenting at Battelle’s Tenth International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds on May 22-26, 2016, in Palm Springs, CA. Our team of experts will share the latest thinking on environmental remediation, assessment, and management, including the following presentations from James Cavotta and Tony Eallonardo.
Innovative Approach to In Situ Thermal Remediation: James Cavotta will present a case study on how an interim corrective measure was used to treat chlorinated solvents in situ, using electrical resistance heating. The project, which OBG managed from design through construction, implementation, and restoration, was successfully performed in just under a year with zero interruptions to the client.
Sustainable Remediation: Tony Eallonardo will present on the ecological underpinnings of the Onondaga Lake sustainable remediation program, including goals for erosion control, leachate minimization, and wildlife habitats. As part of this program, OBG developed an innovative approach to using fast-growing willow vegetation as a protective cover at a waste disposal site.
