Kendrick Jaglal recognized by Water Environment Federation

Kendrick Jaglal recognized for contributions to Water Environment Federation

Kendrick Jaglal, PE, an expert in sediment management at OBG, was recently recognized by the Water Environment Federation (WEF)—an international organization of more than 33,000 engineers and other water-quality professionals—for his volunteer service. Kendrick was recognized for his work on WEF’s Literature Review Committee. The committee works together to prepare an annual review of the water quality literature published in the previous year for publication in Water Environment Research, as well as solicit critical reviews on emerging issues for the publication.

Kendrick also has authored the Annual Literature Review for Contaminated Aquatic Sediments for Water Environment Research since 2007. His most recent review, "Contaminated Aquatic Sediments" presents a review of literature published in 2016 related to the assessment, evaluation, and remediation of contaminated aquatic sediments.

To honor Kendrick’s recognition by WEF, OBG leadership recently presented Kendrick with an award for his achievement, as well as for his dedication to growing the company’s sediment practice and helping to bring Natural Resource Technology (NRT) successfully into the OBG culture. OBG recently acquired NRT, an environmental engineering and consulting firm, as part of its commitment to growing its business and specifically, its focus on the remediation of complex sites for the energy utilities, industrial, and federal market sectors.

About Kendrick Jaglal, PE: Kendrick is a leader in OBG’s sediment management practice. He has more than 26 years of professional engineering experience focused on developing and implementing strategic solutions for contaminated aquatic sediment sites, especially in the areas of site investigation, remedy selection, remedial design, and construction oversight. Kendrick has experience in multiple U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regions and has been involved in a number of the most complex sediment sites in the nation. Extensively published in his field, Kendrick also serves as a lead author on the ASTM Task Group that is developing a Standard Guide for Sediment Corrective Action. Kendrick provided final technical review of the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council’s (ITRC) 2014 Sediment Remediation Guidance and provides internet based training on this document.
