OBG was awarded the Medium Business Sustaining Firm of the Year Award from the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Savannah Post resulting from the company’s contributions to SAME and its Savannah Post for 2016. Maureen Hoke, PE, a vice president and leader within OBG’s environment and energy brands, was on hand to accept the award during the SAME Savannah Post Annual Program Review on June 14, 2017.
A sustaining member firm of the SAME Savannah Post for 10 years, OBG has supported SAME’s mission by providing employee member participation, sponsoring events, and supporting various causes also championed by SAME and the Savannah Post.
Maureen is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Savannah Post, most recently serving as President and transitioning this year to Chairman of the Board. In this position, Maureen will continue to lead the Board in supporting SAME’s missions at the Post level. Maureen has also been very active over the past nine years with the Leadership and Mentoring Streamer, achieving national recognition with SAME, and the formation of the SAME Student Chapters at Georgia Tech Savannah and Georgia Southern University.
OBG has an active presence within SAME, with many employees being appointed to leadership roles or serving on committees and participating in both national and regional SAME conferences.
